01

The government scholarship

Türkiye Scholarships is the government's programme for students from all over the world, at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level. It covers:

  • Tuition fees
  • A place in a university dormitory
  • Health insurance
  • A monthly stipend
  • A one-year Turkish course where needed
  • Return travel at the start and end of studies

02

University scholarships

Private universities award their own scholarships — typically a percentage off tuition, sometimes for the whole degree — based on your grades, exam results or the programme. Some reductions apply automatically when you apply through an official representative.

Improving your chances

Apply early, while scholarship quotas are still open; send a complete file the first time; and include a language certificate if you have one. Your advisor tells you which scholarship tier your grades qualify for before you choose a programme.
